Orthodontics for all ages
Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental malpositions and deformities of the jaws. Its objective is the best placement of the teeth in order to achieve an adequate biting for optimal chewing and a correct aesthetic appearance.
At Bahillo Dental Polyclinic, we perform orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, treating patients of all ages: children, youth and adults. We use different equipment, ranging from metal brackets to the invisible orthodontics of the Invisalign system, through aesthetic brackets and low friction systems.
Invisible orthodontics: Invisalign
The Invisalign invisible orthodontic technique uses individually manufactured aligners for each patient. They are made of a transparent, comfortable and resistant material which adapts to the teeth like a second skin and is designed to perform the dental movements progressively. They must be changed every 14 days, until the teeth are taken to the desired position.
Aesthetic orthodontics
The aesthetic brackets, whether made of sapphire, ceramic or any other material, are especially indicated in those patients who need a traditional orthodontics but with less visual impact.
Low friction orthodontics
Nowadays, the efficiency of dental movement has been improved with new materials, both in brackets and wires. Thus, by using the Carriere System, with light and continuous forces, excellent results are obtained by reducing the time of the treatment and the number of appointments.
Dentofacial orthopedics
Through dentofacial orthopedics we achieve growth orientation and facial development. To this end, the professionals of Bahillo Dental Polyclinic use specially designed devices to guide the facial growth and correct any anomalies that the child might show.
